Nikki Hutton General Manager
Having been at Popham for seven years, through which she has grown into the most confident, and extraordinary young woman, Nikki has taken on becoming the general Manager of both North and South Parade salons. She has taken to management with the same enthusiasm and flair she brings to hairdressing, and is a natural. As well as seeing clients, alongside her managerial role, she is the "driver " behind events, including winning the pitch as the hairdressing partner for Oxford Fashion Week 2012. She is a trained assessor and completes her management Diploma in June.
Michelle Clarke, Company Training Manager
Michelle has been at Popham for eight years, a loyal, trusted and sought after colourist, rising through the company to become Head of the Colour department. As well as colour, her passion lies in teaching others. She has been leading training for the past four yeas as a qualified NVQ Assessor but having completed her Level 3 Management Diploma this autumn, she has earned her promotion to the Company Training Manager.
Jay Wright, Reception Manager & Assistant Manager
Jay has taken on the role of reception manager in North Parade in such an efficient and effective way, that it seemed natural progression to make her our assistant manager. Her ability to be so well organised and with her qualification in hairdressing, she understands the salons requirements both up front and behind the scenes. Jay is due to finish her NVQ in management in the summer
Lucy Ward, Creative Cutter/Colourist
Fresh from a seven month intense training course at the Sassoon Academy in London, Lucy joined us just before Christmas 2011. With her love of precision cutting and a strong ideas, we are sure Lucy will be a huge success with our clients. Having a degree in Art and a quirky fashion sense she brings a daily freshness into the salon.
Georgia Lancaster, Colourist
Georgia trained with Popham from the beginning, quietly working her way through our rigorous programme. Now in her fifth year at Popham, having had a refresher course in the London Sassoon Academy, Georgia sees clients in the North Parade salon, where her skills are sought after in the colouring department.
Courtney Christensen, First Year Apprentice
Courtney joined Popham in September this year and is a breath of fresh air. Courtney's exceptional observation skills, as a result of her hearing impairment, make her the perfect apprentice,anticipating the needs of the senior staff. Right at the beginning of her career in Hairdressing, although already a qualified beautician, we foresee a bright future for her.
Natasha Ashley, First year apprentice
Natasha came to us seeking work until she went off to college to study theatre makeup. Having spent the day with us she had a change of heart and decided to do an apprenticeship in hairdressing. She has fit straight in and is making excellent progress after only a short period of time. Natasha is also a qualified beauty therapist.
Jo Hutton, Relief Receptionist
Jo returns to Popham, having trained in 2002 when we first opened as a hairdresser. Now with a young family Jo has come to work on reception and is as sparky and bright as she has always been, Its a pleasure to have her back as part of the team.
